County Budget & Financial Reports
County budget
The County budget contains information about how the County and its finances are organized. The budget sets the guideline for how much the County, as well as individual departments, are allowed to spend, and how much revenue they anticipate receiving over the course of a year.
Comprehensive Annual Financial Report
Chelan County completed it's sixth Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the 2009 fiscal year. The County submits its CAFR to the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) to participate in it's Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting program. The certificate awarded for the prior year is present in the current CAFR. The CAFR goes above and beyond the level of reporting required by the State of Washington and contains additional useful financial and statistical information.
Financial Status Reports
The Financial Status Reports are monthly reports that illustrate how much each of the major departments have expended and how much revenue they have received as of the end of that particular month. These actual numbers are compared to approved budget amounts and then displays our actual data against forecasting predictions for the year.
