Secure Crisis Residential Center

The Juvenile Center also operates a Secure Crisis Residential Center (S-CRC). This program, sited in the detention facility, provides emergency housing for runaways for up to five days. S-CRC staff offer medical services, family counseling, and crisis intervention services while attempting to reunite runaways with their parents. The S-CRC unit is separated from the detention population to prevent any contact between runaways and offenders.
