West Cashmere Bridge: Determination of Nonsignificance
Chelan County Public Works issued a Determination of Non-Significance under WAC 197-11-340(2) for the West Cashmere Bridge Replacement Project.
The West Cashmere Bridge is in Cashmere, about 9 miles west of Wenatchee. The bridge extends from Goodwin Road/Ruby Street and terminates south of Highway 2.
Scheduled for construction in 2020, the proposed project involves the complete demolition of the old bridge, construction of a new bridge in the similar alignment, construction of a new connection between Goodwin Road and Hay Canyon Road, using bridge ramps down to Hay Canyon Road with a roundabout, modifications to the existing intersection of Highway 2 and Hay Canyon Road, stormwater and utility improvements, and other safety improvements, including striping, guardrail and signage. The completed bridge will have a roadway section that will consist of two 12-foot lanes, two 5-foot shoulders and a sidewalk on one side for a total width of 42 feet.
Information used to reach this determination is available below for public review. Comments on the determination will be accepted until no later than 5 p.m. on June 11. Email your comments to public.works@co.chelan.wa.us.
The issuance of this Determination of Non-Significance does not constitute project approval. Chelan County must comply with all other applicable requirements of Chelan County, federal and state agencies, and/or Hearing Examiner prior to commencing work.
