In 2011, Chelan County Public Works joined the Municipal Research and Services Center of Washington (MRSC) Consultant and Small Works Roster. MRSC hosts the small public works roster and consultant roster, provides for the biannual legal notice of these rosters and certification of business eligibility, all of which streamlines this process for Chelan County. Chelan County encourages any interested businesses to find out more about joining the MRSC roster on the MRSC website.

 

Current Requests for Proposals/Qualifications

Chelan County, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin or sex in consideration for an award.

 

Chiwawa River Bridge Replacement

Request for Qualifications: Preliminary Engineering & Construction Support

Due Date: May 31, 2024 

Chelan County Public Works solicits interest from consulting firms who wish to be considered for providing preliminary engineering and construction support for Chelan County’s Chiwawa River Bridge Replacement project, County Road Project 750 (CRP 750). This project is funded through the Federal Highway Bridge Program.

The consultant’s deliverables will include Structural Evaluation/Assessment of the existing Chiwawa River Bridge (#08423700), developing cost effective demolition and construction plans for the bridge superstructure, assessing and developing a stormwater system, and permitting. Additional deliverables will include preparation of a Design Documentation Package; Hydraulics Report; Contract Plans, Specifications, Estimates and Construction Schedule; Construction feasibility information and review; Advertisement period support; Construction support; and post construction Load Rating of the bridge. Optional consultant services may include Construction Inspection and Materials Testing. The agreement’s duration is expected to be about 3 years.

Ohme Garden Road Project

Request for Qualifications: Architectural Service

Due Date: June 3, 2024 

Chelan County seeks Statement of Qualifications for architectural services to assist the County with its Ohme Garden Road Project (Project). The project will consist of modifications to existing building plans, permitting as needed, bid documents and project management.

The services to be provided will include:

  • Plan modification to meet the County’s proposed uses
  • Preparing the construction bid package
  • Conducting the pre-construction conference
  • Construction management
  • Reviewing and approving all contractor requests for payment and submitting approved requests to the County
  • Conducting final inspection and testing
  • Submitting certified “as-built” drawings to the County
  • Preparing an operation and maintenance manual

Responses should include:

  1. The firm’s legal name, address, and telephone number;
  2. The principal(s) of the firm and their experience and qualifications;
  3. The experience and qualifications of the staff to be assigned to project;
  4. A description of the firm’s prior experience, including any similar projects

Easy Street and School Street Intersection

Request for Qualifications: Real Estate Appraisal Services

Due: June 13, 2024

Chelan County Public Works solicits interest from consulting firms wishing to be evaluated and considered for providing Real Estate Appraisal Services for the county’s Easy Street and School Street Intersection project, County Road Project No. 738 (CRP738). The duration of the agreement is expected to be approximately one year. This project is funded through federal, state and local Funds.

Proposer must demonstrate professional capability for performing real estate valuation services competently and in a manner,  this is independent, impartial and objective. The project must comply with all Federal EEO requirements, ADA, and Civil Rights regulations and requirements applicable to the County. Consultant services will be completed in accordance with Federal and State Law. No mandatory Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) goal has been assigned for this project.

Small Works Roster

Licensed contractors may apply directly to Chelan County Public Work's Small Works Roster for contracts of $350,000 or less by completing the application and returning it to the Chelan County Public Works' office.The application can be turned in any time during the year; however, a new application is required annually.
