Fire Danger Raised to High in Chelan County

The Board of Chelan County Commissioners on June 18 raised the fire level to high in unincorporated parts of the county. The decision, passed by resolution based on the recommendation of the Fire Advisory Board, restricts travel and some activities in the county. Travel restrictions include the restriction of motor vehicles from operating off the roadway. Compliant campfires on private property and in designated campgrounds are allowed.
