The County budget contains information about how the County and its finances are organized. The budget sets the guideline for how much the County, as well as individual departments, are allowed to spend, and how much revenue they anticipate receiving over the course of a year.
Chelan County completed it's fourth Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the 2007 fiscal year. The County submits its CAFR to the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) to participate in it's Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting program. The certificate awarded for the prior year is present in the current CAFR. The CAFR goes above and beyond the level of reporting required by the State of Washington and contains additional useful financial and statistical information. 2008 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report - PDF 2007 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report - PDF 2006 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report - PDF 2005 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report - PDF 2004 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report - PDF 2003 Annual Financial Report - PDF The Financial Status Reports are monthly reports that illustrate how much each of the major departments have expended and how much revenue they have received as of the end of that particular month.
