2024 Chelan County Comprehensive Plan Recreation Element Update
Every seven years, Chelan County updates the Recreation Element of the Comprehensive Plan. This ensures eligibility for specific grant funding opportunities that can help fund the implementation of priority actions identified within the plan update. A public engagement component is critcal for ensuring plan elements incorporate community priorities. For the 2024 update, the public engagement component utilizes both a survey and in-person events to compile these priorities. With the understanding that many recent recreation planning efforts have utilized surveys to gather input from the community regarding recreation opportunity and potential, we are integrating recent survey findings into directed survey questions to help build on these efforts. Resources to help provide context to these recent efforts are provided below.
