What do scentless mayweed, yellow star thistle, and jointed goatgrass all have in common? All are noxious weeds we don’t want to find in our Wenatchee Foothills! Chelan-Douglas Land Trust (CDLT) has teamed up with Chelan County Noxious Weed Board to offer a training workshop for the community. Weed Board Coordinator and Botanist Julie Sanderson will teach field identification tips for a list of 15 “most wanted” invasive species. Participants will be provided with pocket guides and an invitation to sign up for future spring Weekday Weed Warrior Work parties with CDLT. CDLT’s goal is to enlist new volunteers to help eradicate these invaders on our newly acquired Lower Sleepy Hollow Preserve.
