Job Title: Computer Analyst II

Department: Information Technology

Reports To: Director

Salary: PW18 Steps 2-8 $ 5,248.43- $ 6,958.57 / Monthly DOE

SUMMARY

Duties include all aspects of installing, upgrading, maintaining personal computers and monitoring servers within a 2016 Microsoft Active Directory environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Must be able to satisfactorily perform all subordinate Computer Analyst Duties and Responsibilities.
  • Frequently monitor assigned servers for hardware and software updates, or performance related issues.
  • Diagnose and report issues within Active Directory, Group Policy and Security.
  • Consulting with clients to gather information about software needs, objectives, functions, features, and input and output requirements.
  • Training end users or technical support staff to use programs.?

Must be able to satisfactorily perform all subordinate Computer Analyst Job Performance Standards.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science from four-year college or technical school, 6 years’ experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience to begin in this position.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Washington State Driver's License and proof of insurance are required.  Must pass Federal Criminal Background check.
