On 1/23/26 at approximately 11:54 p.m., deputies responded to reports of gunfire in the 100 block of East Woodin Avenue. As units arrived on the scene, witnesses reported seeing several individuals fleeing the area on foot.
Upon arrival, deputies located a 22-year-old male on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound. Chelan EMS provided immediate on-site medical attention before transporting the victim to Lake Chelan Hospital in stable condition.
Upon further investigation, deputies identified a vehicle associated with the shooting near Riverwalk Park. An 18 year-old male passenger fled the vehicle on foot but was quickly located by deputies on Woodin Avenue. The individual was taken into custody without further incident.
The suspect has been booked into the Chelan County Regional Justice Center and faces the following charges:
Assault in the First Degree
Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (two counts)
Possession of a Controlled Substance
This remains an active investigation. The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office is committed to ensuring the safety of the public and has no reason to believe there are any threats to the public. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
