June 27 Open House: West Malaga Road Intersections
Chelan County Public Works invites the public to an open house on June 27 that will provide information about the West Malaga Road Intersections project.
The open house is 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Malaga Fire Station, 3760 W. Malaga Road. Spanish interpreting services will be available.
The road safety project, scheduled for construction next spring, will improve the intersections of West Malaga Road with McEldowney and Golf Course roads. When completed, the project will improve the turning radius to accommodate large trucks, improve the sight distance for drivers and widen the road for a future turn lane at Golf Course Road. Construction is estimated to take 40 working days. During that time, motorists in the work area will see one-lane, flagger-controlled traffic with some minor delays. The project is being paid for with a mix of state funding, developer improvement funds and local dollars.
