Public safety testing August 13 for jail, fire, law enforcement, RiverCom dispatchers

Chelan County on Aug. 13 will sponsor a Public Safety Testing event for people interested in working in corrections, law enforcement, fire fighting or 911 communications.

Public safety testing consists of both written and physical ability tests; it is typically the first step a public safety agency requires in its hiring process.

To participate, interested candidates must first pre-register at The website supports public safety agencies around the state in the hiring of police officers, firefighters, corrections officers and 911 dispatchers.

Details about the Aug. 13 testing event include:

Where: Confluence Technology Center, 285 Technology Center Way No. 102, Wenatchee

When: Check-in begins at 9 a.m. Testing begins at 9:30 a.m. The written test is in the morning and the physical ability test is in the afternoon.
