Are you a small quantity generator looking to recycle dangerous wastes?
The Chelan County Moderate Risk Waste Facility now takes -- by appointment only -- dangerous wastes from local businesses and organizations that qualify as small quantity generators, or SQGs.
What is an SQG?
It's a Chelan County business or organization, including churches, schools and nonprofits, that generates:
- Less than 220 pounds of dangerous waste in any month (equivalent to roughly 25 gallons of typical liquid waste), or
- Less than 2.2 pounds of certain kinds of highly toxic waste in any month, or
- Accumulate less than 2,200 pounds of dangerous waste on site at any time.
