Scam Alert
Chelan County District Court has been advised of a scam that is being circulated and appears to come from the DMV. People are reporting they are receiving a text message similar to the one below, advising them that action will be taken against their driver’s license if the citation is not paid.
Please note, the District Court does not send text messages regarding anything court-related, nor does failure to pay a citation typically result in suspension of a driver’s license, unless determined by DOL. If you ever have any questions regarding the status of your license, you are encouraged to contact the DOL at (360)902-3900 or by visiting your local Driver Licensing Department Office. If you have any questions regarding your citations with a court, you should contact that court directly.
