What is a noxious weed?

The Chelan County Noxious Weed Control Board, in accordance with RCW 17.10.190, reminds landowners that the noxious weed survey season began March 1.

It is the obligation of all landowners under RCW 17.10.140 to eradicate all Class A noxious weeds and to control and prevent the spread of all Class B and Class C noxious weeds listed on the County Noxious Weed List. Noxious weeds can be highly destructive, competitive and difficult to control. These plants invade our croplands, rangeland, forests, parks, rivers and lakes, causing both ecological and economic damage.
