To be a good fire investigator, you must have a fire prevention background, says Kyle Osburn, fire inspector and investigator with Chelan County Fire Prevention & Investigation. This week, Osburn talks about the work his office does, from investigating the cause of a fire to making sure businesses are safe. Businesses in unincorporated Chelan County should plan to see Osburn or Dylan Dryer, as walk-through fire inspections will be starting soon. Osburn even gives you a heads-up on a few things he will be looking for. His office wants to see all businesses be successful while keeping people safe, he said. Repairs begin Oct. 22 on Stemilt Creek Bridge No. 103, at upper Stemilt Creek Road. The work will take about 30 days and is not expected to impact traffic. People in the area may see an increase in truck traffic.
