At this time, Entiat River Road is closed from Crum Canyon Road (mp 6.99) to milepost 25. County roads northwest of the closure, including Crum Canyon Road, are also closed. The roads are open to local traffic only.
As an added precaution, the speed limit on Entiat River Road has been reduced to 25 mph, from milepost 16.5 to 25 (Stormy Creek Road to the end of Entiat River Road). The temporary reduction in the speed limit is for the safety of firefighters, who are working in heavy smoke, making visibility along the roadway poor. The speed reduction will remain in place until further notice.
Near Lake Wenatchee, the Lost Fire has caused the closure of Wye Connector Road, located between Lake Wenatchee Highway and Chiwawa Loop Road. The road is being used as a staging area for firefighters. Motorists traveling to Lake Wenatchee or Plain can use Lake Wenatchee Highway or Chiwawa Loop Road to reach their destination.
