Osburn, Tibbetts earn fire inspector certifications
Chelan County fire inspectors and investigators Kyle Osburn and Maddy Tibbetts recently earned both their Fire Inspector I and Fire Inspector 2 certifications from the International Code Council.
Osburn and Tibbetts were hired in June 2022 by the Chelan County Fire Marshal’s Office. The certifications mean they are proficient in identifying fire hazards and mitigation strategies as well as interpreting national fire code standards.
The pair will be advancing in their training. In May, they will pursue their Fire Investigation Technician certification and later in the year they will attend a week-long fire inspection principles class at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
