Register now for small business hazardous waste collection event

Chelan County Public Works on April 8 will host its annual Small Quantity Generator collection event for small businesses looking to safely dispose of hazardous wastes.

The collection event, which will be by appointment, will be held at the Chelan County Moderate Risk Waste Facility, 3612 Highway 97A. The event is for Chelan County small businesses. Participants must pre-register by March 29. Pre-register by filling out the event application and turning it into Clean Harbors Environmental Services, whose contact information is on the application.

To participate, businesses must be characterized as a Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator. A CESQG accumulates up to 2,200 pounds of hazardous wastes a year at its place of business. If you have any questions, contact Clean Harbors Environmental Services at 509-262-8035, or the Chelan County Moderate Risk Waste Facility at 888-1195.
