Next Up -- Chip Sealing: Chip sealing in Chelan County begins on June 8 in the Cashmere District, with the preservation crew starting in the Dryden area. Work there should take about two days. The crew then will move to Cashmere. The schedule may be impacted by weather and equipment performance. When chip sealing, the roadway is at one lane, with flaggers directing traffic. A pilot car may be utilized on more heavily trafficked roadways. A list of roadways scheduled for chip sealing this year is on our Pavement Preservation Program website. Follow along with the road crew during chip sealing on the Public Works Facebook page.

West Cashmere Bridge Replacement Project: Paving begins this week on the Hay Canyon side of the project; it should take three days to complete. The contractor will be paving in the project area, which includes the new roundabout and portions of Hay Canyon and Vale roads and Sunburst Lane. Motorists should expect some traffic delays in the area. Watch for flaggers directing motorists through the work zone and obey traffic signs. Please be patient, lower your speeds in the work zone and watch for crews working. Goodwin Road remains closed; only local traffic may use the roadway.

Antoine Creek Road Culvert Replacement: Work begins Wednesday, June 9, to upsize three culverts on lower Antoine Creek Road near Chelan. The contractor will be installing three 8-foot-by-3-foot box culverts. A bypass lane around the work area will be constructed and utilized for much of construction, which should take about 15 working days. Watch for flaggers and plan for some traffic delays.
