On March 9, the Boards of County Commissioners in Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan counties finalized an agreement combining the Okanogan County Horticultural Pest & Disease Board with the joint Chelan-Douglas Horticultural Pest & Disease Board. This news item has been updated. The West Cashmere Bridge's “in-water window,” or the time allowed for Chelan County’s contractor to complete work in the Wenatchee River, begins on July 15 and runs through Sept. 30.
On July 6, Chelan County road crews will be chip sealing portions of Chumstick Highway. Traffic impacts include flaggers, one-lane traffic, a pilot car leading vehicles, and a reduced speed limit to 35 mph.
