Closure coming to Dryden Transfer Station in April

UPDATE POSTED APRIL 19: The facility will re-open to the public on Tuesday, April 23.

ORIGINAL POST: The Dryden Transfer Station will be closed for most of April so a contractor can repair the concrete floor of the pit where garbage is collected and loaded, commonly called the “push pit.”

A contractor is expected to begin work on April 1, with the facility re-opening on approximately April 23. The work requires a three-week closure of all areas of the transfer station to all commercial and residential customers. The closure also applies to the drop-off brush yard, recycling area and metal recycling yard at the facility. The concrete work is routine maintenance at the transfer station, which is owned and operated by Chelan County.
