On Aug. 20, the Chelan-Douglas Health District issued a health advisory, asking county residents to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and its variants in the community.
The Chelan Board of County Commissioners recently awarded nearly $740,000 in grant funding to six local agencies that support economic development in Chelan County.
The Board of Chelan County Commissioners has approved the Cascade Public Infrastructure Fund (CPIF), a grant program for public facility projects serving economic development. The County will be accepting CPIF grant applications from March 29 to May 7, and awards will be announced in early June.
Beginning Jan. 11, the state will follow a new regional recovery approach called “Healthy Washington—Roadmap to Recovery,” with every region beginning in Phase 1.
The public is invited to pick up a free KN95 mask at one of several distribution spots around Chelan and Douglas counties. Made available by the Chelan County Department of Emergency Management, the KN95 respiratory masks feature multi-layer protection against fine particulate, including particulate related to smoke from wildfires.
