Board Of County Commissioners

Commissioner District 3

Tiffany Gering

I was raised 30 miles north of Lake Chelan in Brewster, WA. My mom was a registered nurse and my dad, a teacher. Both of my parents, who are now retired, were volunteer EMT’s for several years and my dad was also a reserve police officer. My parents modeled hard work and the importance of volunteering. Growing up, I participated in sports and extracurricular clubs in high school, while also maintaining a part-time job. After high school, college was the clear expectation from my family. There were many reasons I chose Seattle Pacific University, but I truly felt “at home” when I learned of the small class sizes and the number of students.

After graduating from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in Business Administration, I moved to Los Angeles to experience the big city. After many exciting celebrity encounters working in the movie business, I decided that being close to family was my first priority and I moved to Chelan in 2005. I worked at the local radio station, K.O.Z.I., for over seven years as Sales Manager. I eventually moved on to work at the Lake Chelan Chamber as Sales Manager and Chief Operating Officer, where I have been now for over five years.

I have two little girls who are the loves of my life. They both were nothing short of a miracle. At birth, my oldest weighed 3lbs, 2 oz. and my youngest was just 2lbs. We spent many months living in Spokane at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). I’m happy to report that my NICU graduates are completely healthy and give me a run for my money every day. My family, friends and my community have been ever-present and supportive throughout the whole process for which I am thankful each and every day.

My travels include a mission trip to Mexico with my church, chaperoning high school students on a trip to South Korea for the Rotary International Convention and a trip to Kenya with Me to We and Lake Chelan Rotary. I have also traveled for fun…to Mexico, the Caribbean, Canada (of course), Dominican Republic, Dubai and many of the states. I love traveling! It has become slightly more difficult traveling with the littles.
