Bob and his wife Carolyn have lived in the Greater Wenatchee Area since 1991, where they raised their three sons (Tom, Bill, and Alex). Bob graduated from Washington State University with a degree in Wildlife Biology and received his Master’s Degree in Fisheries Resources from the University of Idaho.
As the past director of the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust, and with a decade of service with the Governor's Salmon Recovery Office under his belt, Bob found common ground among unlikely partners to develop action-oriented, successful approaches to address some of our county’s challenging natural resource issues. Bob has a strong background in consensus building and collaborative efforts and has extensive leadership experience. He has served as president or chairman for nearly 10 statewide or region-wide non-profits on issues ranging from transportation to housing to climate change. Bob and Carolyn have been active in many endeavors that strengthen our community.
As commissioner, Bob’s goals are to 1) promote public-private partnerships that boost entrepreneurship and innovation; 2) build consensus for thoughtful growth while protecting our cherished landscapes; and 3) promote collaboration to grow our vibrant community; and 4) listen, engage and respect all.
