Seasonal Field Assistant - Noxious Weed Program

This is a full-time seasonal position with an anticipated start date of June 1st.
This position is responsible for enforcing RCW 17.10 and carrying out the County Noxious Weed Board Policies. This includes surveying for noxious weeds on properties, contacting land owners and following up on weed control compliance.This is a T
Essential Functions (In house training provided on essential functions):
Recognize on sight or identify invasive species and conduct complete surveys using GPS mapping.
Mix chemical correctly and use backpack sprayers to spray herbicide on invasive species.
Operate GIS program on IPad to collect weed locations.
Use office programs Outlook, and Microsoft Office to handle case correspondence.
Write up findings from surveys and have clear written communication with landowners.
Communicate with landowners about the need for weed control in compliance with RCW 17.10.
Record keeping and data management for noxious weed case files.
Follow-up evaluation and report writing as needed to encourage noxious weed control.
