2025 Supervisor Scheduling and Identifiers

The Chelan County Sheriff's Office is implementing significant operational changes starting in 2025 to enhance accountability and service quality. Sheriff Mike Morrison announced that patrol supervisors, either Sergeants and / or Corporals, will be scheduled to work alongside deputies during every patrol shift starting in 2025, ensuring continuous leadership and oversight 24/7. This change aligns with best practices and fills previous gaps in supervisory coverage that had existed, providing a constant presence and improving the overall effectiveness of law enforcement services in the county.

Supervisors play a critical role in overseeing investigations, managing critical incidents, evaluating employee performance, and ensuring accountability. They are responsible for making real-time decisions during incidents, ensuring deputies comply with legal and procedural standards, and providing coaching and mentorship. With these enhanced responsibilities, supervisors will also manage critical documentation and oversee resources, contributing to transparency and maintaining high service standards in the communities we serve.
To further promote transparency,

starting in early 2025, all patrol supervisor vehicles will be marked with the word "SUPERVISOR" in addition to their assigned insignia being located in multiple locations on the vehicle, allowing the public to easily identify on-duty supervisors. This visible presence is an effort to further foster greater community trust and ensure that supervisory oversight is recognized in real time. The Sheriff's Office is committed to professionalism, accountability, and public safety, with these changes representing a key step in strengthening public confidence and ensuring law enforcement operations meet the highest standards. We will remain committed to being “Of the People. For the People.”
