Nov. 25 Public Hearing: Multi-Jurisdiction Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan
The Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Nov. 25 to take comments on the proposed update to the Chelan County Multi-Jurisdiction Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan. The public hearing starts at 11 a.m. in the county's Administration Building, 400 Douglas St. in Wenatchee.
The comprehensive plan evaluates and identifies natural hazards, potential risks from those hazards and projects to mitigate for and respond to hazard events within the county. Its goal is to reduce risks and improve community safety.
At the hearing, comments will be taken both in person and in writing. Written comments can also be mailed or dropped off at the Natural Resources Department, 411 Washington St., suite 201, in Wenatchee.
