Meet Tracy Brandt, Chelan County's juvenile court commissioner for the past seven years. Commissioner Brandt has a passion for the youth she serves and for the Chelan County juvenile program. Today she talks about the court's youth mentoring program, which pairs volunteers in the community with youth appearing in juvenile court. She explains the program, who makes a great mentor and what you can expect if you volunteer. Many youths who Commissioner Brandt sees don't have a trusted adult they can rely on. Beginning March 31, the Chelan-Douglas Homeless Housing Task Force will seek applications for funding from local homeless housing programs. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on May 2. Read more for details.
