If you live in Chelan County, you should know Zach Gapan, a transfer station technician in the county's Solid Waste program. When he's not at the Dryden Transfer Station, Zach is out in the county, cleaning up illegal dump sites. He's keeping our beautiful county beautiful! Zach cleaned up about 50 sites in 2025 -- that's about 27,000 pounds of illegally dumped garbage. With all the canyons and ravines in Chelan County, that's not an easy job.
