Chelan County Commissioner Bob Bugert has announced he will not seek re-election come November. He plans to retire when his term expires at the end of the year. Filing for the upcoming election is May 16-20.
The Chelan County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee has opened the grant application process for groups and municipalities seeking lodging tax dollars for capital projects, or capital improvement projects, that will help attract overnight visitors to the county.

The Chelan-Douglas Health District, in anticipation of the restructuring of its governing board in the new year, is accepting new board member applications from the public. The Health Board seeks at least six new members -- community members living in Douglas and Chelan counties.
