Kahler Creek Alluvial Water Storage Project

The Chelan County Natural Resource Department solicits an Invitation to Bid for the Kahler Creek Alluvial Water Storage Project, Chelan County, WA. This contract provides for the installation of hand-built and machine built Engineered Log Jams (ELJs) and other improvements on Kahler Creek between river mile 0.1 and 0.6. This work includes, but is not limited to: installation, maintenance and restoration of temporary construction access routes and staging areas; temporary traffic control as needed to safely deliver, handle, and stage equipment and materials; furnishing of woody material for construction of ELJs through on-site harvest and/or import of woody material; temporary erosion and sediment control; temporary water management for construction of ELJs; construction of ELJs; dewatering and fish protection within isolated work areas; streambed and bank restoration; construction surveying required to perform the aforementioned tasks; and all other work, all in accordance with the Contract Drawings, Technical Specifications, Contract Provisions, permit conditions and the Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge and Municipal Construction and addenda thereto.

All work below ordinary-high water mark shall occur between the dates of July 1st-July 31st, 2025. Upland work may begin June 23rd, 2025, and the project must be substantially complete no later than August 8th, 2025. The estimated range of probable cost is $256,000.00- $283,000.00 excluding WSST.

A Mandatory Pre-Bid site walk through with representatives from the CONTRACTING AGENCY will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025 11:00 A.M. Attendees should meet at the Nason Creek Rest Area, 17458 Highway 2, Lake Wenatchee, WA 98826. A minimum of one representative from each Prime Contractor that intends to submit a bid is required to attend.

Sealed bids will be received by Chelan County at the Board of County Commissioners Chambers, Chelan County Administration Building, 400 Douglas Street, Suite 201, Wenatchee, Washington until Tuesday May 27th, 2025 at 11:00 AM PDT for the Chelan County Natural Resources Project, “Kahler Creek Alluvial Water Storage Project.” Hard Copies of the Project Manual and Bid Package are available upon request. McCrate Culvert Replacement Project

The Chelan County Natural Resource Department solicits an Invitation to Bid for the McCrate Culvert Replacement Project, Chelan County, WA. This Contract provides for the removal of a 4-foot by 20-foot CMP Culvert and installation of 40-foot-long by 14-foot-wide prefabricated steel bridge structure near river-mile 0.4 on Eagle Creek. This work includes but it not limited to: installation, maintenance and restoration of temporary construction access routes and staging areas; installation of various sized plants post construction; procurement or concrete forming and pouring for the bridge footings and stem walls; temporary traffic control as needed to safely deliver, handle, and stage equipment and materials; structure, channel, and roadway excavation; in-water-work requiring site isolation, temporary diversion of streamflow, shoring and dewatering as necessary; temporary erosion and sediment control; procurement, and installation of the new crossing structure and associated wingwalls and back walls; streambed and bank restoration; construction surveying required to perform the aforementioned tasks; and all other work, all in accordance with the Contract Drawings, Technical Specifications, Contract Provisions, permit conditions and the Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge and Municipal Construction and addenda thereto.

All onsite work shall occur between the dates of October 1st and October 31st, 2025. The estimated range of probable cost is $211,000-$233,000 excluding WSST.
