Chelan County on Aug. 13 will sponsor a Public Safety Testing event for people interested in working in corrections, law enforcement, fire fighting or 911 communications.
Chris Sharp, the director of the Chelan County Regional Justice Center, has been selected to teach two courses at a national corrections conference occurring over the summer.
The narcotics-detecting team of Corrections Deputy Jacob Lewis and K-9 Kait hosted a training event for their peers on March 15 at the Chelan County Regional Justice Center.
Chelan County on March 25 will sponsor a Public Safety Testing event for people interested in working in corrections. Candidates must pre-register for the testing event.
The Chelan County Regional Justice Center recently honored Deputy Jacob Lewis as the 2021 Deputy of the Year and Sara Eggers as the 2021 Support Staff of the Year.
Sara Eggers is a registered nurse and mental health professional working in the Chelan County Regional Justice Center. She recently wrote a guest editorial that appeared in the Wenatchee World about the rise of mental illness in our community and its impacts on the jail.
Billye Tollackson is a registered nurse and the health care manager at the Chelan County Regional Justice Center. She recently wrote a guest editorial for the Wenatchee World about the serious and complicated medical issues many incarcerated adults now have.
Corporal Jason Nieman of the Chelan County Regional Justice Center recently was awarded a “Combat First Aid” patch for initiating life-saving measures on a woman who was incarcerated in the jail.
