The community is invited to an online presentation on Nov. 3 that will go over the results of a recent federal report describing the post-wildfire conditions in the Twenty-Five Mile Creek Watershed near Lake Chelan, site of one of the largest wildfires this year in the state.
Cooling centers, or air-conditioned places where the public can visit to cool off, are available to people who don’t have air conditioning in their homes. In Wenatchee, the Town Toyota Center, 1300 Walla Walla Ave., is serving as a cooling center. It will be open during the ongoing heatwave for 24 hours a day beginning on Saturday, June 26.
