Flood warning in effect through Saturday
The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Management alerts residents to the National Weather Service’s recently issued Flood Warnings. Of special concern are burn scar areas from recent wildfires and the county’s steep hillsides and canyons.

Chelan, Douglas counties switching to new emergency alert system on April 1
Beginning April 1, Chelan and Douglas counties will switch to a new emergency alert system called Everbridge. Residents of both counties are encouraged to sign up for the alert system.

Community stakeholders come together to keep essential services operating
Chelan County and the Chelan-Douglas Health District recently opened the Omicron Emergency Operations Center at Wenatchee Valley College. Stephen Rinaldi, Chelan County fire marshal and EOC manager, wrote a guest editorial, explaining the effort, that was printed in the Wenatchee World.
