Malaga is the center of a growing community of about 4,800 residents along the Columbia River south of Wenatchee. Though Malaga has miles of shorelines it lacks a waterfront park or recreation facilities.
Who is working on the plan?
The Malaga-Colockum Community Council, Chelan County, and the Chelan Public Utility District have been working with a consultant team on a site suitability analysis and design concept for a new waterfront park.
What is the status of the project?
The project team has identified a site for the project and is working towards acquisition and funding. A Story Map with more project details and the early design concept can be viewed here.

Review the draft design concept for the future waterfront park and provide your feedback!

Comments will be open Dec. 5-16. Visit the concept link above to leave your comments and to give your opinion on everything from what kind of playground equipment you prefer to what kind of restrooms and picnic areas you like.
