Watershed Plan - Entiat

The Entiat Coordinated Resource Management Plan (CRMP) group initiated locally-led resource planning for the Entiat valley in 1993. The group reorganized in 1998 pursuant to Chapter 90.82 RCW to address issues in the Entiat Water Resource Inventory Area (WRIA 46), which includes the Entiat and Mad River watersheds, as well as some minor Columbia River tributary drainages. A Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) that outlines strategies and schedules for the implementation of WRIA 46 Plan actions was completed and approved by the Planning Unit in February 2006.

The Entiat WRIA Planning Unit (EWPU) consists of Entiat valley landowners, government and non-government employees, and other stakeholders. The goal of the EWPU is to "Voluntarily bring people together to improve communication, reduce conflicts, address problems, reach consensus and implement actions to improve natural resource management on associated private and public lands in the Entiat watershed". The Cascadia Conservation District serves as the Lead Agency for the EWPU's efforts. They provide technical, policy and administrative support to the Planning Unit.  The Chelan County Natural Resource Dept. is involved with Entiat watershed planning efforts and sits as a member on the Planning Unit.

The Final WRIA 46 Management Plan was unanimously approved by the EWPU on May 17, 2004 and approved by the Chelan County Commissioners on September 13, 2004, Subbasin Plan.
