Burch Mountain and Horse Lake roads will re-open on Friday, March 31. Portions of the two roads are closed to traffic every winter to prevent road damages from seasonal weather conditions, including freezing and thawing.
Winter Reminder: It's still winter in these parts, and that means county crews are deep into snow plowing season. Orchard owners and foremen are reminded to ask their crews not to park vehicles in the county right-of-way. Cars parked along the roadway hamper snowplowing efforts.

The Washington State Court of Appeals, Division III, will hear oral arguments outside of its Spokane courtroom during a community visit to the Chelan County Courthouse in Wenatchee on Tuesday, Dec. 6. The three cases to be heard respectively involve payment to extend utility lines to land purchased for development, appeal of a child rape conviction, and appeal of a drug conviction based on search and seizure issues.
