Chelan County commissioners passed the 2024 budget, which projects $56.9 million in expenditures. The 2024 budget allows for the creation of seven new positions in a variety of departments, including three additional deputies for the Sheriff's Office.

In September, Chelan County is hosting two in-person opportunities for Stehekin residents to share their ideas and comments on a draft request for proposals that seeks a consultant to guide the community in creating a sustainable plan for the future.
